Keep South Carolina Wild
Disappearing habitat is a problem worldwide. Most endangered species have that status because of habitat loss. Many people feel helpless when it comes to saving the rainforest, but there are many things you can do right in your own backyard, and community, to create a wildlife habitat and make a big difference.
Create habitat by providing food, water, cover and places to raise young with sustainable gardening practices!
Recognize your commitment to wildlife and certify your yard, balcony container garden, church grounds, schoolyard, work landscape, or any greenspace into a Certified Wildlife Habitat®. It is fun, easy and makes a big difference for neighborhood wildlife.
Your application fee of $20 supports the National Wildlife Federation’s programs to inspire others to make a difference and address declining habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, amphibians and other wildlife nationwide. A portion also supports work in our state so PLEASE HELP us by certifying your Wildlife Habitat today!
After your yard is certified, come back to our site and order a metal sign for your yard (pictured).
