Volunteer Opportunities

The SCWF relies very heavily on our volunteers.  We have some volunteers who come into the office regularly to help with clerical work.  We also have special events throughout the year when we need extra help from volunteers.  You can find out about our volunteer needs through this website, and also through email notifications.  To receive notifications by email, send your name and zip code to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. December 19 - Barnes & Noble Gift Wrapping, Columbia, SC 10:00am - 2pm.  SCWF is gift wrapping merchandise for donations.  Barnes & Noble will provide the wrapping paper, bows, scissors, etc.  We just need some volunteers to do the wrapping!  We will have a donation jar and hope that many who use the gift wrapping services will make some generous contributions!  We have broken down the day into two hour shifts, 10-12 and 12-2pm.
