Received Certification on July 28, 2009
Currently HSC has (38) associates volunteering for the WAIT program

Projects Completed in 2009
1)      Formed Team
2)      Installed a Carolina Fence
3)      Planted various types of trees on the property
4)      Flooded a detention pond to improve habitat for ducks and other aquatic birds
5)      Installed bird feeders and Humming bird feeders on the property
6)      Placed (6) mineral blocks around the property for wildlife.
7)      Planted (5) food plots for wildlife
8)      Installed No Trespassing / No Hunting signs on the property
9)      Hemingway High School wood shop built bird houses for HSC
10) Installed a WAIT informational display board in our Cafeteria
11) Installed WAIT Certification Sign at entrance to Facility.

Projects Completed so far in 2010:
1) Installed another Butterfly Garden
2) Planted (23) white oak trees donated by the local Pee Dee NWTF Chapter
3) Assisted in the adopt-a-highway trash cleanup on Honda Way. WAIT Team and Timmonsville Boys and Girls Club.
4) Assisted in Keep Florence Beautiful cleanup campaign. WAIT Team and HSC associates and family.
5) Placed (3) Bee Hives on the property for pollination of our plants and plants on neighboring properties.

Projects planned for the near future include:
1) Build and install purple martin houses
2) Construct a Chimney Swift Tower. Local Eagle Scout is going to do this during the Easter Holiday.
3) Dig out the current retention pond and improve habitat for aquatic wildlife.
4) Install (4) Raptor Perch's in the 100 acre field.

Other Plans for 2010
1)      Install (40) bird houses around property. Boys & Girls Club to assist
2)      Maintain Butterfly Gardens
3)      Maintain Bird Feeders
4)      Place (6) mineral blocks on site
5)      Plant (5) food plots for wildlife
6)      Install (4) Raptor Perch’s in 100 acre field
7)   HSC will install compactor in Cafeteria area so that we can recycle the food waste from the café. Instead of sending waste to landfill
