We Need You To Keep South Carolina Wild

  MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) is to conserve and restore South Carolina’s wildlife and wildlife habitat through education and advocacy.

What Makes SCWF So Unique?

We CARE

C.A.R.E. is at the core of the SC Wildlife Federation. It stands for: Conserve, Advocate, Restore, and Educate. Each of these words serves as a cornerstone, or pillar, that collectively makes our organization so vital and critical moving forward.

CONSERVE

We are the state of South Carolina’s first conservation group, established in 1931. Today, we rely on tried-and-true scientific initiatives to maintain the balance and health of our delicate ecosystems in order to conserve all wildlife throughout the state.

ADVOCATE

We work with state legislators and policymakers to protect precious wildlife habitats and ensure that sound scientific data is used to make decisions that affect wildlife. The more knowledge our policy makers have, the better advocates they can be for our natural resources.

RESTORE

As human population increases and cities grow, it can have a detrimental effect on the land and waterways in the “path of progress.” We are diligently focused on restoring precious habitat through a variety of hands-on initiatives and education programs.

EDUCATE

We are one of the very few conservation organizations in the state that conducts ongoing educational programs designed to enlighten all South Carolinians about protecting our natural habitats. Our goal is to inspire hope and ignite passion.

Tax-deductible donations to the SCWF are an investment in the quality of South Carolina’s future! A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by an elected board of directors and affiliated with the National Wildlife Federation, SCWF’s work is made possible by your donations. Funds raised directly benefit South Carolina’s wildlife and habitat.
